Human gnathostomiasis. First evidencing of the parasite in South America

Abstract:

Reporting 4 cases of gnathostomiasis, a clinical review of this disease is given by the authors. In one of these cases the diagnosis could be established by demonstrating the presence of the parasite. The name: nodular migratory eosinophilic panniculitis is suggested for this disease.
