Hydrogen Sulfide Generation during Thermal Oil Recovery - 2. Laboratory Tests and Predictions.
Abstract:
The distribution of organosulfur compound groups present in a core was determined in order to predict the H//2S volume that could be produced by steamflood stimulation. Tests were carried out under field conditions in order to calculate the maximum volume of gases generated. From the determination of the organic and inorganic sulfur in the core, the contribution of each source to H//2S production was established.
