Hábitos de lectura y su incidencia en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de Educación Básica media de la Unidad Educativa Rafael Vásconez Gómez, año lectivo 2016 - 2017.
Abstract:
Nowadays, the reading has lost its importance. The current society is not aware of the usefulness of reading within the field of education. It is important to increase the consciousness of the reading usefulness in the students, teachers, and parents; for this reason, the present research work has been developed under the name of “Reading habits and its incidence on academic performance of the students from “Rafael Vásconez Gómez” school, in the school year 2016 – 2017”. The main idea of this research is to be used as an effective tool in order to develop cognitive skills related to the reading habits in the students with the purpose of improving the kids’ academic performance. This project has as main objective to implement a seminar-workshop about the reading habits through the application and socialization of an educative guide with the purpose of improving the literacy in the teaching-learning process of the kids from “Rafael Vásconez Gómez” School, in the school year 2016-2017. It is important to remark the use of the technics and methods such as field research, surveys, interviews, applied tests; strategies like the educative guide in order to raise awareness among students, teachers, and parents about the creation of good reading habits in order to help to improve the teaching-learning process. The present project causes a great impact in the classroom and institution. Teachers ask this project to be spread in the town to help solve problems related to reading habits that affect the teaching-learning process.
