ICT IMPACT ON THE PRODUCTIVITY OF METAL MECHANICAL SMES IN QUITO THE CAPITAL OF ECUADOR

Abstract:

In Ecuador, small and médium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the metal mechanical industry contribute greatly to the country's growth, given that they generate employment and contribute to the creation of new products, which are marketed nationally and internationally . The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the productivity of SMEs in the metal mechanical industry in Quito the capital of Ecuador. For the development of this research, the information provided by the personnel working in the SMEs metalmechanical was processed, identifying the access and use of ICT in the day to day management of enterprises, as well as the way in which these technological tools have contributed to increase their productivity.
