IMPORTANCE OF FOOD SECURITY IN GUAYAQUIL-ECUADOR, ANALIZED FROM THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS OF THE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION.


Abstract:

A documentary review focused on the production of scientific publications related to Food Security according to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN) in Latin America, published in high impact journals indexed in the Scopus database during the period from 2010-2020, in order to establish a diagnosis of the current situation in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. The main findings of the bibliometric analysis show Brazil as the Latin American country with the largest number of publications related to the topic proposed in this research with a total of 23 registered publications, followed by Colombia with 16 and Mexico with 10. During the decade between 2010 and 2020, the year in which the largest number of publications were registered in Scopus was 2020, when a total of 13 documents were registered in Latin America.
