IMPORTANCE OF MAGNIFICATION IN ENDODONTICS

Abstract:

Endodontic practice involves a series of steps and techniques for a satisfactory work, so today it is a challenge for the den¬tist to find anatomical variations that cannot be detected with the naked eye. For this reason, it is necessary to expand the working tools, such as magnification, to treat that which cannot be detected with the naked eye. The objective of this work is to highlight the importance of the use of magnification in endodontic treatment. A bibliographic review of scientific articles consulted in the databases Dialnet, Scielo, PubMed and postgraduate theses of the last 5 years was carried out, taking into account the articles that included the topic of study. Once the scientific review was completed, it was possible to reach the conclusion that it is essential to incorporate magnification in endodontic practice, in addition to avoiding failures and compli¬cations in time, would improve the ergonomics of the professional and the working time, making it more efficient.
