INCIDENCIA DE LAS MEDIDAS GUBERNAMENTALES EN LOS PRECIOS DE LOS PRODUCTOS FARMACÉUTICOS DE LAS EMPRESAS SUIZAS RADICADAS EN EL ECUADOR

Abstract:

This investigation will determine the impact of governmental measures on prices of imported medicines, made by Swiss development laboratories, which must comply with the median price of all similar products, medicines marketed in the country were conducted. With a kind of descriptive research of qualitative and quantitative approach, some technical surveys representatives of wholesale pharmacies were used in the process, as the observation of market prices for the calculation of the median, which it is the most important canal in the city of Guayaquil, and interviews with business representatives of the three Swiss companies affected and currently operating in Ecuador. With the research, it can be concluded that the decline in prices on these products will decrease the ones that are generic and allow through the volume, generating higher sales of the Swiss drugs entering on an economy of scale, it is clear that all the products studied had the enough profit to the return of the investment. At the end, it was found that generic drugs will reduce its sales, due to the preference of the costumers, for the quality and safety of the non-generic ones.
