INSURANCE MANAGEMENT IN NATURAL DISASTERS IN ECUADOR
Abstract:
After the events that occurred after the earthquake of April 16, 2016, which affected the province of Manabi, Ecuador, leaving human losses and thousands of properties destroyed, the question arises of how familiar Ecuadorians are in terms of insurance, specifically against fire and allied lines, if they know their advantages and which are the main companies that emit this type of policies to avoid collateral or mental damages in the families of the Ecuadorian people. This work includes a qualitative non-experimental approach to the field of insurance for natural disasters, using the descriptive and analytical method with documentary bibliographic review techniques to collect and analyze information on the supply and behavior of insurance in the Ecuadorian market.
