INTERDISCIPLINARITY AND INTEGRATING PROJECTS: A CHALLENGE FOR ECUADORIAN UNIVERSITY
Abstract:
This article presents an analysis of interdisciplinarity in relation to knowledge integrating projects in two Ecuadorian universities, through a descriptive exploratory research, conducted by the use of empirical methods such as documentary analysis, workshops and observation of student performance. The main philosophical basis of this work was the hermeneutic-dialectic method. We performed a review of integrating project approaches based on theoretical material, regulations set in Ecuadorian Higher Education normative documents and its situation within Industrial Engineering faculties in two universities: Universidad Tecnologica Indoarnerica de Ambato and Universidad Tecnica Estatal de Quevedo.
