Identificación de Enterococcus spp. en muestras de leche cruda en el barrio el pedregal, ciudad de Machachi, cantón Mejia
Abstract:
We have identified bacterium of the Enterococcus spp. genus, from samples of raw milk taked in the El Pedregal neighbord hood, with the propose of reducing the bacterial load in this genus. We collected 40 samples of milk from small and medium producers, they come from four sectors of the locality. Loreto (14 samples), Santa Ana ( 15 samples), San Luis (7 samples), and Queserapungo (4 samples). We have done the inicial bacterium isolation in cultívate médium in Agar Mc Conkey and sheep Blood Agar. The colonies that grow up were inicially characterized plenotypically by biochemical tests: Kit Slidex Strepto Plus, (Group D), Catalase (negative), growth in Agar whit 6.5% of NaCl (positive) and growth in presence of bile with reduction of esculina (positive). 13 strains were isolated, where we found a prevalence of Enterococcus faecalis (100%)....
