Identificación del burnout en profesionales de la salud y factores relacionados con este fenómeno. Investigación realizada en un hospital del norte de la ciudad de Quito – Ecuador, año 2017
Abstract:
This thesis has been submitted in fulfillment of the requirements of the Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, with the research topic proposed by Técnica Particular de Loja University, "Burnout identification among health professionals and factors related to this Phenomenon. Research carried out in a hospital in the north of the city of Quito - Ecuador, year 2017" focus is the Mental Health and to specifically determine the prevalence of burnout syndrome (BS), at a public hospital located north of Quito city; Its theoretical content is based on Maslach and Jackson's approach to burnout that measures three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and professional fulfillment, contained in three chapters: theoretical framework, explanatory models of BS, prevalence of BS. The design of this work was exploratory, descriptive, transversal, non-experimental, quantitative, correlational, with inductive-deductive methodology. We selected 40 health professionals, doctors and nurses, men and women; The results revealed a low percentage of BS presence in doctors and nonexistent in nurses. As for Neuroticism, obtained from the Eysenck Personality Test (EPQ), its presence is determined with greater incidence in physicians than in nurses
