Identificación y evaluación del riesgo ergonómico ocasionado por las posiciones y trabajos repetitivos en los puestos de trabajo de la empresa “Patatos Snacks” mediante el método OWAS y OCRA

Abstract:

This investigative project evaluates the ergonomic risks that workers are exposed to in the area of production, sales, and administration at the frying factory Potatoes Snack’s. In addition, it proposes corrective methods based on the necessities of the workers with the goal of improving the work environment and emphasizing both the wellbeing and health of the worker and the economic benefit of the employer. In this research, the methods used provide us with real data about the level of ergonomic risk to which the worker is exposed, and it also indicates which departments confer the highest level of exposure where corrective actions must be taken urgently, as well as the areas which do not cause any harm to the worker and therefore do not require any corrective action. It gives a clear overview of the administrative and engineering errors that should be addressed aggressively in order to correct the issues in the respective departments. The analysis of the repetitive movements in the different areas of work was done using the Check List OCRA method, and the assessment of the physical effort derived from the postures adopted while working was done using with the OWAS method; furthermore, for the analysis of the videos and photographs taken in the factory, the software KINOVEA was used.
