Identification System Based on Facial Recognition Services in the Cloud

Abstract:

Currently, important approaches such as the Web of Things (WoT) have emerged, making web services such as those offered by cloud computing integrated with smart objects. This is how it is proposed to use facial recognition services for the implementation of a personal identification system. The proposal integrates sensors, storage services and APIs for face detection, identification and aggregation of people using the Microsoft Azure cloud through REST services. To verify the functioning of the system, the percentage of reliability of face recognition in the periods of day and night, performance and usability are evaluated.
