Impact assessment of the implementation of a digital terrestrial television standard to disseminate educational contents in rural areas

Abstract:

This scientific paper proposes an impact assessment, following the methodology proposed by the World Bank. This methodology was applied with the objective of evaluating a new standard of digital terrestrial television that allows to provide Internet connectivity services in rural areas, as well as to disseminate educational contents, obtaining as a result that this standard could be an interesting alternative in rural areas where only the television signal arrives.
