Impact of technology on citizen security semiotics of emblematic parks of Quito
Abstract:
This study aims to improve the Public Safety by video surveillance on emblematic parks in Quito, considered outstanding areas for the citizen life. The World Health Organization (WHO), recomends at least 9 m2 of green spaces by citizen, this natural environment, should follow some guidelines: availability, accessibility, quality, and security of public green spaces. The identification of the most dangerous parks, as a first stage of formulation, by incidents, by year, in quantitative analysis, incidents in relation to the video surveillance and semiotic sociocultural context analysis of the perception of citizen, are so important, for the execution of the pilot plan consisting in an incidence mitigation of public safety issues by video surveillance. The research is a socio-cultural point of view for the use of technology in safety, its contribution is reflected through of this so specific and relevalt topic with scarce literal resources by the methodologic, which identifies the Semiotics, like tool for the research.
