Impacto social de la implementación de parcelas hortícolas en dos instituciones educativas del cantón Machala
Abstract:
During the months of May to September of the 2005, it was carried out the thesis work: I Impact Social of the implementation of horticultural parcels in two educational institutions of the canton Machala, for which they thought about the following objectives: 1. To evaluate the social impact of the implementation of horticultural parcels in the two educational institutions of the canton Machala, 2. To Implement school orchards with the adoption of technologies for the improvement of you practice them horticultural in the parcels of the two educational institutions. In the first place a the line was obtained it bases, by means of a survey carried out in the Colegio U.N.E. and in the Escuela Rafael Rubio Gonzalez, with which information was achieved which allowed to make preliminary decisions regarding the implementation of the orchard and the training process. In the two educational establishments the parcels and the training settled down on technical of preparation of payments and handling from the cultivations to the participants. The results of this first survey determined that the children and participant youths of this project accepted in a high percentage the consumption of the vegetables, and that approximately half of the students they possessed some type of experience in horticulture, but that the great majority ignored about the preparation of organic payments. Equally the results established that 100% of the students was willing to participate in the program and that they had the support of their parents. The evaluation of the students is carried out it in a day of field in which the students exposed the activities carried out during the execution of the project satisfactorily, and that he/she had the total acceptance on the part of the present. One carries out a second survey that it was good to determine the knowledge about horticulture, elaboration of organic payments and the social impact of the project.
