65. Description of the mismatch negativity (MMN) in Mexican children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract:

Objective To analyze the MMN in time and frequency in words in Mexican children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Material and methods Two groups of children 8 to 15 years old; six children with typical development and six with ASD. The electroencephalogram was obtained with 60 electrodes. The latency and amplitude of the MMN were identified in the frontocentral region (FC3, FCZ and FC4); and electroencephalographic frequencies of the frequent and infrequent stimulus of the paradigm were explored. Results In the MMN, all children had two components (early and late). In the late component, in children with ASD, peak amplitude was of− 2.3 μ v and an early latency was observed at 384.8 ms; while in children with typical development, the amplitude was of− 3.8 μ v and peak latency was observed at 408.4 ms. In the infrequent stimulus, a minor synchronization in the gamma band of children with ASD …
