Implementación de un modelo de enseñanza aprendizaje incorporando software libre para mejorar el rendimiento académico en transformaciones lineales de estudiantes de primer …
Abstract:
The objective of this research was to implement a teaching-learning model that incorporates the use of free mathematical software to improve academic performance on the topic of linear transformations. The research was quasi-experimental, so a parallel of 42 students was divided into two equal groups, control and experimental, whose homogeneity was verified by means of the F test for variances of two samples. To determine previous knowledge, the causes that hinder the teaching learning and familiarity with the use of free software, The interrogation technique - whose instruments were the objective test and the questionnaire that have validity and reliability - was used. The chosen teaching-learning model applicable to university-level students was Biggs' 3P model, which together with the results obtained through the interrogation technique allowed applying a constructive alignment that led to deep learning mediated by content, activities and Shared evaluation through the construction of an interactive document format. ipynb from the Jupyter Notebook interface. Through statistical analysis, the averages obtained by the control and experimental groups were compared, determining a positive impact of the 3P model that includes free software in the experimental group. It is concluded that the application of the 3P model that incorporates software produced a 10.40% improvement in the academic performance of the experimental group with respect to the control group, so it is recommended to include activities that involve the use of free software, generating new skills and the essential intrinsic motivation on the part of the students.
