Implementación de un proyecto de mejoramiento de la calidad de atención del/ la trabajador/a social en el Hospital Carlos Andrade Marín Unidad - IESS, Quito, año 2017

Abstract:

The mission of the Technical Unit of Social Work is to identify and intervene in social factors through personalized attention and quality to encourage users to participate in the development of actions of promotion, prevention, care and rehabilitation in health. Through a situational participatory diagnosis, it was evidenced that the Social Work professional at the Carlos Andrade Marín Hospital in Quito was assigned administrative tasks that did not allow him to exercise the role of social intervention. In virtue of this, the present study was carried out based on the Logical Framework methodology. Its objective was to implement a project to improve the quality of care of the Social Worker. As results, the Social Intervention Manual was designed and approved, social workers were trained and motivated to apply Social Intervention, and user satisfaction with the attention provided by the Technical Unit of Social Work was evaluated. Finally, the importance of this project for the improvement of the quality of attention offered to users is discussed. KEY WORDS: Health services, social work, project design, project management.
