Implementation and use of an automated projection Moiré experimental set-up
Abstract:
Projection moiré is an optical experimental technique useful in displaying and measuring the 3-D form of large objects. This paper describes an automated experimental implementation of projection moiré. The calibration of the experimental set-up, determination of the fringe number, phase measurement at a point, and, distinction of concavity and convexity of a surface are detailed. Also, estimates of the error on a range of simply-shaped specimens are obtained. © 1994.
