Implementation in Unity of a virtual psychology laboratory to carry out an experimental practice

Abstract:

Virtual laboratories (VL) in education have become an important tool for teaching-learning, because they offer access to a completely digital and interactive environment, where any type of action, interaction, knowledge construction, practices, etc. can be carried out. This article shows the aspects considered for the implementation of a WebGL application that allows access to a psychology VL, aimed at distance learning students, where they can carry out an experimental practice based on Ivan Pavlov’s classical conditioning and his experiment on the salivation reflex, which was built with the Unity tool. The software development methodology used is SCRUM. The results obtained show an adequate level of acceptance by the students, demonstrating that the use of VL in education provides support for the acquisition of knowledge.
