Implementation of the WSN prototype to monitoring of patients on ESPOCH comprehensive health center

Abstract:

Actually, the measurement of physiological data of patients in health centers of Ecuador is done manually which imply much time for reception and reduced mobility. To minimize these problems has been considered implement an electronic system to perform these tasks quickly and safely. This research seeks to improve the response time in decision-making, patient monitoring. This design consists of an infrared sensor that measures the pulse and blood oxygenation; the air flow sensor measures the respiration; temperature sensor; which were configured on the electronic board Arduino One. The wireless transmission is through two modules XBee S1, the first one to transmit and the second one to receive. For the network a point-to-point encryption AES was performed. The data display a graphical interface in Delphi XE7, that connects to a database in MySQL was configured. For the analysis of results we used the statistical method completely Random defining this prototype: 80 % faster than the manual takes vital signs used in the Center for Integrated Health Care ESPOCH.
