Importance of transmission technology for remote teaching / teaching: Assessing the application to an information technology course

Abstract:

Streaming technology allows the distribution of mainly audio and video multimedia files through the computer network in real time, these are loaded into a data buffer where they can be played at the same time as they are downloaded and then discarded, without be stored on the client’s hard drive. This study carried out an evaluation (prior to publication) of the use of a video on demand platform (called ClassOnLive by 64 students), in a computer course, the main objective of this research was to measure the interest (attitude) towards the use of transmission for higher education. The results verify that teledoaching positively experiences students’ attitudes towards transmission technology. This research contributesto the development and improvement of training activities using audiovisual media, through this educational format. Teledoctrination-based video streaming enhanced student learning and visual interactivity, through video streaming on the ClassOnLive platform.
