Análisis de cambio de cobertura y fragmentación en el corredor de conservación comunitaria el Ángel- bosque golondrinas, provincia del Carchi en un escenario de cambios climático
Abstract:
In this work the impact because of the climate change could be analyzed in the availability and fragmentation of the vegetation coverage of the conservation corridor formed between El Angel Ecological Reservation-Protector Forest Las Golondrinas through a relation of the maps of the climate change scenario A2 of 2080 with the maps of vegetation coverage and the present fragmentation that determined the present and future potential richness of the vegetation coverage of the conservation corridor, in which the places under 600 meters above sea level (meters above sea level) present the greatest number of species, an lower amount in the moorland, additionally the places were species could be gained could be known. The biggest number of species gained is in the zones of upper montane evergreen forest, and Andean forest, the species loss is presented in a bigger grade in the moorland Frailejon and almohadillas- areas with heights over the 3000 meters above sea level and the refill percentage defines the grade of interchange of existing species in 2080 in regard of the present approximation, in which areas with values of over a 50 percent between the 1500 and 2500 meters above sea level were found. The habitat availability for the species was also researched in a climate change scenario in the community conservation corridor, in which was determined that areas not intervened by men activity exist, with vegetation coverage existent inside and out of the delineated protection areas. These areas, through the model, were found that they would present suitable characteristics of temperature and rain in the present and supposed future for species conservation. For these areas a conservation strategy was designed in the corridor, were the impacts that would exist because of the climate change on the vegetation coverage were prioritized, demonstrating that is of a great importance to take them into account in the environmental plans of the conservation areas already delineated as well as with the establishment of altitudinal corridors that connect these areas for the conservation of vegetable species in a future scenario.
