Improved accuracy of continuous measurement of arterial oxygen tension in sick newborn infants. Criteria for reading and recalibrating the electrode
Abstract:
Improved accuracy of continuous arterial oxygen tension (PaO2) measurement is obtained if allowance is made for the response time of the electrode. Recalibration is necessary only when PaO2 measured in a blood sample differs from the electrode value by more than ±11.5 mmHg (1.5 kPa).
