Incidencia de cefalea postpunción dural en la paciente obstétrica: técnica hatfalvi vs medial hospitales Vicente Corral Moscoso y José Carrasco Arteaga, Cuenca 2011

Abstract:

Objectives: To determine whether the incidence of post dural puncture headache after spinal anesthesia decreases with the technique proposed by Hatfalvi versus medial technique. Materials and methods: With a design randomized controlled trial (RCT), which included 210 patients into two equal groups. Hatfalvi group (n = 105) received spinal anesthesia with 0.5% bupivacaine n/e injection 10 mg + fentanyl 25 ug using paramedian approach (Hatfalvi) and Medial group (n = 105) received spinal anesthesia with 0.5% bupivacaine n/e injection 10 mg + fentanyl 25 mcg using medial approach. We measured the incidence of PDPH in a period of 72 hours. Results: The groups were comparable in the control variables. There were no episodes of PDPH in the follow-up period. Discussion: The absence of PDPH not rejects the null hypothesis allowed. The technique proposed by Hatfalvi remains theoretical and suffers from the lack of empirical evidence that is based on scientific knowledge. DeCS: HATFALVI.
