Incidencia de la formación del capital humano en el desarrollo socioeconómico de la ciudad de Guayaquil, período 2015-2019


Abstract:

Human capital encompasses the formal education and work experience that people acquire over time, which increases their productivity, and leads to greater socioeconomic development. The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship that exists between the formation of human capital in the socioeconomic development of the city of Guayaquil during the period 2015 - 2019; For this, the evolution of variables such as: average years of schooling, net enrollment rate of primary, secondary and higher education, evolution of poverty, extreme poverty and poverty due to Unsatisfied Basic Needs (UBN), among others, is disclosed. Regarding the research methodology, the present work is a theoretical study, descriptive type, with a deductive-analytical method and qualitative approach, which through the analysis of statistical information from official sources, such as: the Central Bank of Ecuador, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses, and the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil it can be inferred that the human capital represented by the average years of schooling and the socioeconomic development represented by poverty by UBN have an indirect relationship, since during the period of The study showed an increase in the average years of schooling and a reduction in poverty due to UBN.
