Incidencia de la metodología: educación integral para la vida y la teoría constructivista, en los resultados en el aprendizaje en los niños de primero de Educación Básica de la Unidad Educativa San Daniel Comboni y el colegio Nuevo Ecuador en la ciudad de Esmeraldas en el período de octubre 2008 a diciembre 2009


Abstract:

In the last years Ecuador has experienced a series of changes within its educative system; nevertheless, the academic results continue being notoriously low. The objective of this investigation is to investigate the influence of a new proposal of teaching methodology called “educacion integral para la vida”, the work was developed through a program of evaluations to the students of 1° and 2° of Basic which determine if this influence is positive or not, comparing to a traditional teaching methodology. Thanks to the collaboration and reception of the educational and directive personnel of both institutions, we successfully obtained the results of the evaluations in the areas of Language, Mathematics and context. The final result favors the new proposal “educacion integral para la vida” which showed an extraordinary increase in the academic level of its students. This result throws down the concept that context is a decisive factor in the development of the person. It has made clear that when there is a teaching methodology focused on responding the needs of the person and that contains also a life role model to follow, context does not necessarily assure you a way of leaving. In this way school can become an area which is designated to form life, changing the history of many people and giving them the possibility of having a different life.
