Influence of ICTs, expenditure on R&D, expenditure on education in research (scientific articles) in South America

Abstract:

The main objective was to analyze the relationship between communication technologies (ICTs) and academic articles, for which the following were used as control variables: public spending on education, and R&D spending for 8 South American countries. The results show that there is a statistically significant and positive relationship between the explanatory variables and the dependent one, using logarithms by difference of units between the variables, and the squared ICT variable was also used to see the long-term effect. Research generates knowledge about the many important aspects that influence and serve innovation in education. As a recommendation, we highlight the importance of public spending on technology (ICTs) Research and education to increase human capital, in this case academic articles.
