Influence of the Reform of Cordova in the Ecuadorian University


Abstract:

This paper refers to the Reform of Cordova in 1918 as a historical moment in the life of the university in Latin America and its influence in the changes that began to take place in the Ecuadorian university. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the university in Latin America was one of the greatest colonial features that remained until then, was the year 1918 through the so-called Reform of Cordova where changes were made in how to lead university life. It was university autonomy one of the main approaches to this reform, co-government, the presence of public education, free entry, and the internal management of the university.
