Influence of the calcination temperature in the synthesis of potencial hydrotreating catalysts based on CoMo/Zn-hydroxyapatites

Abstract:

Potential CoMo hydrotreating catalysts supported on Zn-hydroxyapatites with variable zinc content were synthesized and characterized. After impregnation with Co and Mo, Zn-hydroxyapatite supports were calcined at 400 and 800 °C. Then, samples were characterized by different techniques such as: X-ray diffraction, FT-IR spectroscopy, BET specific surface area, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) cupled with EDX analysis and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Results showed that the calcination temperature strongly influences on the textural properties of these potencial catalysts for hydrotreating.
