Influencia de los factores de riesgo en las aptitudes intelectuales de los niños y niñas pre-escolares, de los centros de desarrollo infantiles del CRECIPE, Cuenca 2012


Abstract:

The developing of this cross-sectional descriptive study determined the influence of risk factors in the Intellectual skills of 4-5 year-old boys and girls in the Child Development Centers belonging to CRECIPE, (Corporación de Representantes de Centros Infantiles Privados del Ecuador, Cuenca) in the following risk factors: parents' migration, family type, the father's level of educational attainment, the mother's level of educational attainment; the gathering of the data was developed through a survey to the parents. The children’s skills were evaluated with the test of Badyg A. The sample was calculated in the EPI - INFO 3.5 which has 95% of accuracy and 80% of strength , 10% of frequency of difficulties in intellectual skills plus 10% of losses, obtaining a total of 130 boys and girls. The 33,9% represents children of 48 months to 54 months, 54,3% males, 13% to the parents that migrated, 32,6% to the children from single parental families, 60% to the parents with high level of educational attainment and 71,7% to the mothers with secondary level of educational attainment. A significant relationship was found as inadequate (p <0,05) among the father’s elementary level of educational attainment with auditory perception; the mother’s primary level of educational attainment with auditory perception through puzzles and motor-graphical coordinated perception, the parents' migration with auditory perception and puzzles and the ages of 48 months to 54 months with puzzles, these results should lead towards an improved planning
