Influencia de los niveles de conocimientos previos de la informática en los procesos de admisión de los estudiantes de la carrera ingeniería en producción y dirección en artes multimedias de la facultad de artes y humanidades de la universidad católica de santiago de guayaquil.
Abstract:
The current thesis was carried out with the purpose of showing that inside the School of Multimedia Arts Production and Directions’ admission program; it is proven that there are a great number of students with low knowledge in the technical field of computer science before the admission tests begin. Student grades from previous computer science tests in recent admission programs of the School of Multimedia Arts Production and Direction are just one of the factors that show a weak foundation in regards to knowledge in themes related to computer science among pupils and also confirms a significant amount of failed students in the admission program. A survey was carried out to gather up information, demonstrate why the problem mentioned has appeared and find out how it could be solved. Surveys and interviews were also fulfilled among college professors teaching in the admission program and the director of the school of Multimedia Arts with the purpose to find possible flaws inside the program´s courses. Based on the information that was found, an educational and virtual module for training and updating admission students in computer science was designed and implemented. The objectives of this project are based on the initial approach and are well described inside this current research. In the present work, it is also shown that lots of students, professors and authorities of the School of Multimedia Arts showed interest in the proposal and were enthusiastic in applying it. The mentioned proposal would be a part of the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil´s web site inside the link of the School of Multimedia Arts Production and Direction which is inside of the Faculty of Arts and humanities´ link. Another important fact that should be considered is that the educational module comes with a responsive web design. Al of the on-line educational modules have a user friendly and didactic design that allows users to have an effective training and update in themes related to computer science
