Information system structure for multidimensional analysis of socio-ecological resilience through fuzzy ahp

Abstract:

This paper uses the fuzzy hierarchical analytical process (FAHP) to estimate the weighting of the dimensions of resilience assessment in areas affected by natural disasters. The resulting model allows structuring an information system that provides data for decision making before, during and after the affectation of a region. In this study resilience is considered as a multidimensional and complex concept that summarizes the adaptation and learning capacity of a socio-ecological system. The data of the FAHP model is obtained from experts in disaster management and public management who have participated in the processes of social, political and economic reactivation of the city of Baños de Agua Santa in Ecuador affected by the eruption of the Tungurahua volcano since 1999.
