Abstract:

The EP EMSEGURIDAD by nature is a public company whose mission is to provide logistics services for several entities of the Metropolitan District of Quito, it is for this reason that the largest number of goods acquired by this institution have been delivered for use, possession, care and custody. of various entities. This complexity in the business mission has led to deficiencies in the administration, management, control and use of the goods and inventories of the EP EMSEGURIDAD, which, although they do not harm the Entity in a negative way, the management of the goods does not It is done optimally and efficiently. The lack of unification of the criteria or the lack of policies within the entity in the case of goods, has become evident in recent years; which has resulted in a large number of assets located geographically throughout the Metropolitan District of Quito, which makes it difficult to control and verify; To this we must add the fact that the lack of personnel in the area of assets and of an electronic physical verification affects the control of institutional assets. The purging of records, deregistration of assets, transfer of assets to the entities that are making use of them; they are prevailing actions to improve the administration, use, management and control of the assets; being necessary to establish institutional policies that allow an optimal registry and therefore a better control of the assets.
