Innovation in journalism as an antidote to fake news


Abstract:

The research seeks to determine the impact of fake news in Ecuador and the opportunities of journalism to deal with this phenomenon of misinformation, from innovation. The methodology is a mixture of characters applied on a corpus of 779 publications from seven sites, such as proliferators of fake news. The impact of the publications focused on the number of reactions generated during the study time. Among the results, moreover, it was evidenced that most of the contents published in these terms become a policy and a long distance, while the least part in advertising. In terms of reactions, fear and fear are the main emotions that are evident.
