Intellectual capital model for the research function in Colombian universities

Abstract:

This paper presents a model of Intellectual Capital (IC) for the substantive function of research in Colombian universities. Its construction was based on a literature review of the CI models reported in the last 5 years, from which the most relevant indicators were selected in each CI component, integrating them to a structure generated by relationship analysis. The functionality of the proposed model is validated, allowing to identify advantages, disadvantages and limitations of the same. The indicators allow the identification of key intangibles in the research process of the universities.
