Inverter resonant control by modified SPWM and trapezoidal modulation for induction cooking
Abstract:
The Ecuadorian government seeks to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, due to the high cost Economic and environmental impact. Thus, migration to induction cookers replacing gas stoves is driven by the state through efficient cooking program. In this context, the study of the problems that the use of induction cookers will bring to the grid, when its use massively is evident. This work focuses on the generation of harmonic induction cookers due to switching the inverter. That said, two modulation techniques are analyzed in this paper, modified SPWM and trapezoidal modulation. To this, it was simulated in simulink/matlab both modulations controlling an inverter series resonant full bridge feeds the induction cooker. Product of these simulations the harmonics in the voltage signals obtained is calculated and analyzed. As a result it is concluded that by the modified SPWM modulation a voltage signal with lower levels of harmonics is obtained, which would facilitate filtering signals and the effect of harmonics on the network would be smaller.
