KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN THE TRANSFORMATIVE INDUSTRY THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF OPTIMIZATION METHODS


Abstract:

The industrialization of a country requires consolidated advances in the transforming industry. This challenge is due to the fact that the management of knowledge and technology are considered decisive factors for the economic boost of the nations, in search of the best alternatives for the development, design and operation of their facilities. The engineer who currently has to face the analysis of increasingly complex alternatives to make a decision and offer a fundamental stage for the solution of the problem in practice, which many times requires or less possible time. You must have a deep understanding of the studied phenomenon and the ability to determine a possible solution based on the best practices available to you. The objective of this article is to discuss the benefits offered by the application of knowledge management and the use of optimization methods as tools for engineers to make decisions on projects and/or process management, development and improvement of technologies and industrial assimilation of two transport phenomena, with a view to increasing the economic, environmental and energy efficiency of two processes of the transforming industry. This article analyzes from a theoretical point of view, the essential aspects of two methods of knowledge management, technology and optimization. Additionally, there are referenced investigations developed from the demands of this industry, in which solutions were presented to the demands established with the application of these tools.
