La Mujer y las Declaraciones Internacionales sobre sus Derechos
Abstract:
Feminist Theology gathers and reflects on the long history of women's struggle to achieve rights. There has been and still is a gap between men and women, the result of a patriarchal and sexist society that has structurally put women in second place. The aim is to analyze comparatively the International Declarations on women's rights in order to generate a dialogue with theological reflection and the Ecclesiastical Magisterium on the reality of women and to show the coincidences and pending challenges. In this chapter, an approach to the history of women's struggle for the recognition of their rights is presented, which has not been an easy path, since even today the androcentric culture is still present and looks at women from a position of superiority. Therefore, this research seeks to create this comparative dialogue, to show the advances, as well as the gaps that have been maintained for years. Therefore, we propose to broaden the reflection to value and carry out an academic discussion on the active and transforming presence of women in the Church and in society.
