La biografía escolar, su influencia en la práctica docente
Abstract:
The present monograph revolves around two categories of vital importance for the understanding of the exercise of teaching: school biography and teaching practice. It is intended to show how the experiential knowledge left by the school biography influences the actions of the teacher based on the review and bibliographic analysis. In the first place, the traces of the school journey are investigated: beliefs and conceptions and how they are configured in mental models that are implicitly recorded in the cognitive structure of the teacher. Then, it is specified what the teaching practice consists of: the knowledge and dimensions that constitute it; In addition, as the review of these factors allow to configure the reflective teaching practice. After the analysis of the two categories, it is shown how the school biography influences the teaching practice specifically in the construction of the identity and the role of the educator; It is also explained how the knowledge that the teacher possesses affects the dimensions of teaching practice. Finally, it is concluded that the teacher's school biography has a strong influence on their professional practice because it allows to glimpse the traces of the past (mental models: beliefs and conceptions) and how they direct their way of thinking, feeling and acting in the classroom
