La evaluación docente como incentivo para la mejora del desempeño profesional en el Colegio Fiscomisional María Augusta Urrutia de Escudero, de D.M.Q., periodo lectivo 2016 - 2017
Abstract:
The lack of a systematic and comprehensive evaluation process has a low incentive to improve teacher performance. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the importance of an institutional process of evaluating teacher performance with a focus on improvement and development, that the results be processed, analyzed and allow the decision making in relation to training and academic preparation of the staff of the teachers. The research was conducted at the Fiscomisional High School "Maria Augusta Urrutia de Escudero", DMQ, school year 2016-2017 with the participation of three directors, 16 teachers, and a sample of 88 students and parents, by applying the methods; Descriptive, inductive - deductive, and statistical; Techniques such as, interviews in the case of directors and surveys in teachers, students and parents, information about this process was obtained. As a result of the investigation, it was concluded that the institution applies teacher evaluation without a formalized process with the limited participation of students and parents, without a clear and controlled follow-up, poor decision-making that does not encourage improvement teaching professional performance
