Abstract:
Ecuadorian education is currently witnessing changes in substance and form in the organization, functionality, purpose that is intended with the educational system, the problem, therefore it focuses on the analysis of the context in which the school text is framed and its relationship with the legal requirements demanded by the Ministry of Education to the corresponding publishers and in turn as the school text serves as a methodological guide in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The text analysis was carried out in the Mercedaria Patria Fiscomisional Educational Unit of the city of Quito belonging to the Province of Pichincha. The objective is to analyze the structure and use of the Second Year Mathematics school text of Basic Education of the Mercedaria Patria Fiscomisional Educational Unit of the city of Quito, in the 2018 ~ 2019 school year, the second Mathematics school text of the EDINUN editorial presents pedagogical coherence with the provisions of the national curriculum, the objectives are structured in a clear and objective manner so that the teacher can measure progress with reference to the general framework established according to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, It is concluded that the curricular model established in the school text is constructive, which promotes participatory activities and integrates subjects to base through integral approaches and position the content based on the needs of each of the students.
