La investigación de la comunicación en el escenario universitario: análisis de las tesis de grado de la carrera de Comunicación Social de la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, campus El Girón, del año 2012

Abstract:

The current work was born out of the necessity of knowing how research has been carried out within the Communication career, and, in order to do it, it was important to understand what it has been done within the pieces of work called "thesis", the same which represent the research capacity formed in the career. The literature review contributed to clarify the limits of the objects of study of the research in the Communication career; it was noted that the "thesis" format required by the UPS is in reality a theoretical-practical dissertation; it was designed a file card to analyze 25 "thesis" of the year 2012; and it was verified that no piece of work fulfilled with every criteria of a dissertation and less with that of a thesis, but instead, the majority tends to be essays in which most of the topics do deal with subjects related to a Social Communication career.
