Abstract:

Since the beginning of the societies, man has been looking, the best way to protect itself. Thru the time his way to get grouped evolutional, and become more complex creating the first rules of coexistence, these rules were set by the oldest and / or the warrior chief who had the power to establish rules or standards, as well as having some influence over other people, giving way to the cherished ambition. The three main sources of power are constituted by: economic power, political and religious. The early states were characterized as tyrannical governments, with a continuing dispute to expand their domains and a continuous struggle of social classes, in addition to the emergence of new models of economic management that often have deepened the unruliness of the States. However, one of the most important achievements was the recognition of the rights of individuals by the States.
