La recreación deportiva y el turismo local

Abstract:

This research project aims to investigate the contribution of Sports Recreation in the growth of local tourism in the Latacunga canton with the participation of students in the sophomore year of Juan Abel Echeverria Unit during the period 2015 -2016, by taking sports recreation as part of the daily activities of students it has been achieved that students acquire inherent social values sport, healthy habits and attitudes in the occupation of their leisure time and decreasing potential health problems; and in turn has revealed the importance of sports recreation has on the development of local tourism, because to get students to know and disseminate the main tourist sites owned by the Latacunga canton, is contributing to the growth of local tourism through sports activities that are framed in pique the interest of students for the development of sports recreation, as currently 43% of the student population under study do not have the habit of sport, namely that there is a ignorance of the many benefits that sports recreation. The research has used different techniques and instruments that have allowed to collect information necessary to determine the preferences of students, the frequency with which they practice sports activities, the main tourist places they know; Using this information has been possible to formulate proposals and strategies to help encourage the student community to make more active and enjoy recreational sports activities.
