La representación social como categoría del análisis de identidades artísticas callejeras en el Centro Histórico de Quito
Abstract:
The purpose of the present study is to identify how the social representation of the street artists constructs a cultural identity towards the spectators in the space of the Historical Center of Quito. Understanding that this space, it is a space that keeps an enormous historical hebkp_redity, and that across the routine character experienced by personages such personages as: street, comical artists and craftsmen it has caused a proper form of representation, from the street and popular art with symbols of communication and identity, which form an imaginary social one, both for the street and popular artists, and for the spectators in the historical center, which as the long of the investigation is exhibited regulates the vision of the hearing, hard marked by the stereotype of absence of preparation and professionalism absence. On the other hand, the historical hebkp_redity and the quiteñidad are a fundamental contribution to understand the artistic transformation and identitaria of the studied sample, as it expresses the group “Del Quito a pie”, the puppeteer Esteban Ruiz and the actress Juana Guarderas, who to keep a deep relation between its artistic creation and its individual identity with the historical center of Quito. Showing up, that indisputable the public space influences in the construction of a cultural identity in the street artists, where the most visible symbols are in its architecture, the roguish humor, of double meaning, the satire and the cultural and historical heritage used in the construction of artistic works that paint the portrait of the position and vision of the artists and its reality.
