La selecci?n de futuros docentes en el marco de la calidad educativa


Abstract:

The society of knowledge requires increasingly skilled people to function efficiently in the globalized world. In this context, this research aims to propose a selection model that ensures the entry of the ideal profile to study an education career. This project was elaborated through documentary analysis of the international educational systems with the greatest academic success. Essential information was extracted from the admission processes applied by Singapore, Finland, and South Korea to adapt to the Ecuadorian context, which is indispensable to apply to the applicants who want to study pedagogy. In effect, improve the teachers? warmth in the framework of Ecuadorian educational quality. The object of the study of the research was analyzed besides the socio-critical paradigm through a qualitative and quantitative approach with the inductive and analytical method. The technique used was documentary analysis, and the instrument an analysis guide. Based on international experience, it demonstrated that the rigorous selection of candidates for the teaching profession is the first step to guarantee the quality of the future teachers. On the contrary, free admission to universities without a good appraisal of applicants could trigger up to 40 years of low-quality education trigger up to 40 years of poor teaching.
