A Concept about Knowledge Networks between Organizations
Abstract:
In Latin America, the exchanges generated between academic and industrial organizations are few and generally do not imply the transfer of technological innovations. Therefore, to find a complete explanation for these relationships, their own contributions, which agree with our socio-economic reality, must be generated. This research tries to construct a concept about knowledge networks between organizations, resorting to a method for generating theory proposed by Gutiérrez (2009), interrelated with the hermeneutic method (Dilthey, 1990), the qualitative content analysis technique (Kockelmans, 1975), abduction (Barrena, 2007) and the criteria established by Rudner (1973) for constructing social theory. Results emphasize the construction of an analytical-conceptual scheme, through which knowledge networks are outlined as a system of organizational relations established to promote local endogenous development, social inclusion and sustainability. This theoretical foundation was generated using an inventive process marked by the rigor of a scientific method and the spontaneity of the creative instinct.
