Las creencias de los practicantes varones manifestadas durante el proceso diagnóstico de la violencia de género en el Guasmo Sur

Abstract:

This thesis uses the systematization of experiences as methodology, seeking to answer the following primary question: which were the beliefs manifested on male practitioners during the process of gender violence diagnosis in Guasmo Sur? This experience took place during the community service in the project entitled “Promotion and prevention of the eradication of gender violence on vulnerable population in Guayaquil”, selecting the diagnosis phase of this project as our principal experience. To achieve our primary objective a semi-structured, in depth interview and focus group were created and applied to obtain relevant information to four practitioners. The results of this thesis indicates that there could be some beliefs that could be affecting the diagnosis of gender violence, such as androcentric vision, stereotypes on both genders, and myths about gender violence, which could be affecting the veracity of the diagnosis
